Made In Wolves is a project started by the Faculty of Arts at the University of Wolverhampton, supporting students, staff and alumni to sell their art. They do this by setting up pop-up shops in and around Wolverhampton.
This month I’ve worked with the team of Made In Wolves twice, and both times I’ve enjoyed working with Claire and Tod, who are artists themselves. The stall was full of vibrant and unique work by students, staff and alumni of the university.
Both Made In Wolves and The Artisan Detour have a supportive nature in common. Being able to support artists to make a living is something that I’m enjoying very much, which is probably the reason why working with the team didn't feel like work at all!
In today’s post I’m kicking off my Art In… series, where I’ll be taking The Artisan Detour on the road to discover art in various towns and cities across the UK. I thought I’d begin by sharing some quick snaps I took recently at the Made In Wolves pop-up shop in the Mander Centre, as part of ArtsFest and Made in the Black Country.
