Get featured on The Artisan Detour

Our mission at The Artisan Detour is to support creative entrepreneurs. We make this possible by creating various opportunities for you to get featured…

Your Stories

(Interview + Photoshoot at your studio!)

Fancy getting your story featured on The Artisan Detour? Everyone’s story is unique, and this is what we celebrate with the Your Stories feature. I’ll come and spend some time with you in your studio or workshop, photographing you whilst you work away on your creations. Then we’ll sit down with a cuppa, and chat about your creative journey.

In order to be considered for a Your Stories feature, email hello@theartisandetour.com with:

  • Your full name, location and bio

  • A description of the work you create

  • Links to your portfolio and social media profiles

  • Links or photos of your studio/workshop

Please note - this option is only available to artisans based in England, Scotland and Wales at this time.

Submit your creative work

Have you created a project which deserves recognition? This is a great opportunity to get your work featured on The Artisan Detour blog and social media profiles. If you’re an artist, designer, maker, photographer, or writer, you can submit your work to us.

In order to be considered, email hello@theartisandetour.com with:

  • Your full name, location and bio

  • A description of the work you will submit, with an artist statement if possible

  • Links to your portfolio and social media profiles

  • 10 JPEG images (1,500 pixels wide, RGB format) of your work

Fancy being interviewed?

Interviews are a great way for a new audience to get to know you, offer insight into your creative process, and even to let us know how you got your foot in the door, which is what The Artisan Detour is all about.

In order to be considered, email hello@theartisandetour.com with:

  • Your full name, location and bio

  • A description of the work you create, preferably with an artist statement

  • Links to your portfolio and social media profiles

  • 10 JPEG images (1,500 pixels wide, RGB format) which may include a mixture of portraits of yourself, works in process, finished works and your studio

Guest editor

Fancy writing a piece to be published on The Artisan Detour? As long as your written piece aims to offer insight and relatability into the creative industries, you can be considered. The angle you take is entirely up to you, for example, it can be observed or even from personal experience. Email hello@theartisandetour to pitch your idea.

Please note…

  • Unfortunately we may not be able to respond to all emails. We will be in touch if your submission is successful

  • Please take some time to read the guideline for each opportunity

  • All opportunities which require us to travel to you are limited to the UK at this moment in time.
